PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare-earth magnet that can effectively suppress eddy current and degradation of magnet characteristic due to an eddy current suppression means. SOLUTION : The rare-earth magnet contains rare-earth magnet particles and an amorphous and/or crystal rare-earth oxide represented by a formula (I) (where, R : rare-earth element containing Y). It is manufactured by hydrolizing a rare-earth alkoxide applied to the surface of magnetic powder for the rare-earth magnet, polycondensating it to adhere the rare-earth oxide to the entire area or a part of the surface of magnetic powder for the rare-earth magnet and molding the magnetic powder therefor wherein the rare-earth oxide is arranged.
