PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a garbage disposal method and an apparatus for promoting aerobic decomposition and fermenting garbage collectively in a short period of time without generating malodor.SOLUTION : In this garbage fermenting method, in a pretreatment of fermenting decomposition, garbage is mixed with wood-derived hard particulates of water absorbing property and hardly decomposable property to set water content to about 45-75%; temperature is adjusted to about 25-70°C by pressurizing kneading; and ground garbage is stuck to the surface of the hard particulates. Solidified pressurized kneaded matter may be crushed, then fermented for decomposition by agitation and air blowing. Temperature can be raised higher than 50°C. At least one of actinomycete, mold fungi, photosynthetic bacteria, lactic acid bacteria, and earth may be added to garbage.
