PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a disposal method of garbage causing no malodor, a ball mill apparatus suited to this disposal method, and a garbage collection vehicle loaded with the ball mill apparatus. SOLUTION : Garbage, old paper, ligneous chips, kenaf and earth are agitated and crushed, and the crushed garbage-containing matter 60 is fermented to obtain compost. At this time, as the garbage-containing crushed matter 60 is fermented with its periphery covered with the ligneous chips 61, 63, no malodor is generated. The ligneous chips 61, 63 used to cover the garbage-containing matter 60 are reused as the ligneous chips in subsequent fermentations for forming the garbage-containing crushed matter 60 by agitating and crushing together with the garbage.
