PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an ornamental material that can be used for accessories or the like and emit different lights and colors under the visible light, black light (ultraviolet) or infrared light. SOLUTION : The ornamental material is composed of a single crystal of a composition expressed by R13(Ga1-x, R2x)5O12, where 0≤x≤0.02, and R1 and R2 are composed of at least one kind of rare-earth element selected from Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu.
