PURPOSE : An artificial eye having a titanium ion-plated magnetic peg and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to enhance a kinesthesia of the artificial eye and to be seen naturally. CONSTITUTION : The artificial eye(51) having the titanium ion-plated magnetic peg comprises a titanium plated magnet inserted into a hole of a backside of the artificial eye; and a titanium plated magnet peg(43) inserted into a hole of a titanium screw(44) operated in an orbital implant(53) wherein the artificial eye and the peg are adhered by suction force of the magnet. Material of the magnet is rare earth based neodymitlm Nd-Fe-B. The magnet is titanium plated by an ion-plating process. © KIPO 2006
