The invention relates to methods of obtaining emission layers, specifically for organic light-emitting diodes. A method is proposed for producing an emission layer on the basis of compounds of rare earth elements, said method comprising producing a mixture containing a luminophore and a transport material and applying a thin film of the resulting mixture onto a substrate, said method characterised in that the luminophore used is a compound of terbium, europium, neodymium, erbium, or ytterbium, and the transport material used is an organic transport material capable of forming a complex with the metal included in the luminophore, said complex exhibiting, at room temperature during exposure to UV light in the 250-350 nm range, ionic luminescence of the metal that is of greater intensity than the luminous intensity of the chloride of the corresponding metal.
