PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain a high efficiency hydrogen storage material instead of the conventional Mm (misch metal)-Ni based and Ti-V based hydrogen storage alloy and amorphous hydrogen storage alloy by a simple method. SOLUTION : The multiple oxide-dispersed type hydrogen storage material is obtained by subjecting an amorphous alloy whose composition by atomic% is expressed by the compositional formula of Zr100-bMb to heat treatment in the air or in an oxygen atmosphere, and has a fine structure where a Zr-(Pd, M)-O compound and an M-O compound or a Pd-M alloy compound are compounded/dispersed.
