PURPOSE : A glass composition with fluorescent activity and optical amplification and a laser amplifier of radiation using the same are provided to embody an increase of optical amplification rate and stable vitrification as well as to inhibit agglomeration phenomenon of active agent by comprising Ge-Ga-S based glass substrate and rare-earth based ions as the active agent. CONSTITUTION : The glass composition comprises a glass substrate consisting of about 67 mol% or less of S; 10 mol% or less of Ga; and 40 mol% or less of Ge to form the Ge-Ga-S based glass substrate having content of S below than GeS2-Ga2S3 composition line, and a rare-earth active agent to be doped on the glass substrate, thereby exhibiting fluorescent and optical amplification activities. The rare-earth active agent is Pr^3+ ion. The glass substrate is Ge-Ga-S based glass with Ge32.5Ga5S62.5 composition. The glass substrate further comprises a stabilizing agent of verification containing halogen element in order to embody stable verification of the glass substrate and movement of blue color in single wavelength absorption edge. © KIPO 2006
