An air cleaner comprises a grounding electrode (51) of sheet metal on the charger side and a grounding electrode (49) on the dust-collecting side, which consists of a conductive resin mold formed separately from the grounding electrode (51). The grounding electrode on the charger side is opposed to a high-voltage electrode on the charger side, while the grounding electrode on the dust-collecting side is opposed to a high-voltage electrode (41) on the dust-collecting side. Since there is no need to metalize a resin mold to form grounding electrodes, the cost of manufacture can be reduced.
