FIELD : organic chemistry, chemical technology.SUBSTANCE : invention relates to the improved method for preparing O, O-dialkyldithiophosphates that are used broadly as flotation agents in concentration of nonferrous, rare and precious metal ores. Invention describes a method for preparing O, O-dialkyldithiophosphates involving preparing O, O-dialkyldithiophosphoric acid by interaction of phosphorus pentasulfide with aliphatic alcohol in solvent medium followed by treatment with alkaline agent. O, O-dialkyldithiophosphoric acid is used as a solvent in the mass ratio of phosphorus pentasulfide and O, O-dialkyldithiophosphoric acid = 1 : 0.2, not less.
