PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnetic carrier for identifying the combination function of biological materials, such as DNAs and protein, according to the color tone of the magnetic carrier. SOLUTION : The magnetic carrier for combining the biological materials comprises a rare earth garnet particle having a yellow or yellowish green color that has an element composition expressed by a general expression : R3M5O12 (however, R comprises a rare earth element that becomes a trivalent ion, or a complex element partially substituted by an element that becomes a trivalent ion, M comprises a transition metal element requiring Fe that becomes a trivalent ion, or a complex element partially replaced by an element that becomes a trivalent ion), and is in a range, where an average particle size is 0.05-10 μm, coercive force is 2.39-15.93 kA/m (30-200 Oe), and saturation magnetization is 1-30 Am2/kg(1-30 emu/g).
