PURPOSE : A composition of a fireproof material is provided to improve water resistance, heat insulation and fire proofing property, and to lighten the weight, thereby being suitably used as an interior material for a fireproof door. CONSTITUTION : The composition of a fireproof material comprises 40-95wt% of light inorganic fine particles; 2.5-50wt% of an inorganic binder in liquid phase; and 5-50wt% of alumina cement, wherein the light fine particles is selected from at least one of pearlite, vermiculite, diatomaceous earth and activated carbon, which have a particle size of 0.1-10mm. The composition of a fireproof material is produced by mixing the above-mentioned components with above-mentioned ratio, and carrying out compress molding the mixture with 0.1-1kgf/cm2 of pressure at 200-250deg.C. © KIPO 2005
