PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth magnet which has a low content of oxygen and excellent magnetic properties and to provide a rare earth magnet manufacturing method which is capable of restraining rare earth magnet alloy powder from being oxidized in processes carried out after a grinding process. SOLUTION : A triazine derivative is added to a dispersion medium in a process of grinding a rare earth magnet alloy, and an oxidation-resistant film formed of the triazine derivative is deposited on the surface of the rare earth magnet alloy powder.
