PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an image display device that makes color unevenness less noticeable under a high-temperature high-humidity environment.
SOLUTION : An image display device of the present invention includes a display cell, a first phase difference layer, a second phase difference layer, and a polarizer in this order. Re (550) of a laminate of the first phase difference layer and the second phase difference layer is 120 nm to 142 nm or 151 nm to 160 nm. The following expressions (1) and (2) are satisfied : a0×a1>0 (1) and b0×b1>0 (2), where a0 denotes an initial value of a front face reflection hue "a" value in a non-lighting state, a1 a value after being placed for 250 hours under an environment of 65°C and 90% RH, b0 an initial value of a front face reflection hue "b" value, and b1 a value after being placed for 250 hours under the environment of 65°C and 90% RH.
