PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of making peel resistance and an emission control performance compatible at higher level.
SOLUTION : The present invention relates to an exhaust emission control device for an engine using petrol as a fuel. The exhaust emission control device comprises : a stainless steel carrier consisting of stainless steel; and a catalyst layer being formed on the stainless steel carrier in contact with the stainless steel carrier, and containing a complex which has a state where aluminum and a ceria-zirconia solid solution in which rare earth elements are doped are made composite, and in which an average particle diameter of a ceria-zirconia part is smaller than an average particle diameter of an aluminum part, and a noble metal.
