PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a positive electrode catalyst having excellent durability and activity in an environment of a metal-air battery.
SOLUTION : A positive electrode catalyst for a metal-air battery according to the present invention includes a YBaCo4O7 substitution product. At least a part of a Y site of the substitution product is substituted by Ca, In or rare earth metal; at least a part of a Co site is substituted by Fe, Ga, Al or Zn; or at least a part of a Y site of the YBaCo4O7 substitution product is substituted by Ca, In or rare earth metal and at least a part of a Co site is substituted by Fe, Ga, Al or Zn. All of the Y sites are preferably substituted by Ca.
