简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To reduce the use amount of rare earth magnets by half by reducing the phase difference between the magnet torque and the reluctance torque by asymmetric arrangement of the rare magnets and ferrite magnets which are greatly different in the magnet force, and obtain torque equivalent to torque obtained by a conventional rare earth magnet motor. SOLUTION : Each ferrite magnet 6 per pole has a plurality of layers 61 to 63 arranged at an interval in the radial direction of a rotor 3. Each rare earth magnet 7 per pole has a first rare earth magnet 71 and a second rare earth magnet 72. The first rare earth magnet 71 is positioned between the third layers 63, which are closest to a rotary shaft 5, according to the adjacent magnet poles. On one of the two third layers 63 sandwiching the first rare earth magnet 71, the second rare earth magnet 72 is arranged radially outside, and on the other third layer 63, a flux barrier 8 is arranged radially outside. The ferrite magnets 6 and the rare earth magnets 7 are magnetized such that the phase difference between a current phase angle at which the magnet torque becomes maximum and a current phase angle at which the reluctance torque becomes maximum is smaller than 45 degrees.
