PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a modified conjugated diene polymer that uses a modifier of a pyrrolopyrrole derivative, and a catalyst that is relatively easy to handle, and a rubber composition containing the same, which exhibit excellent wear resistance and fuel economy.
SOLUTION : This invention relates to a modified conjugated diene polymer obtained by modifying a conjugated diene polymer with (D) a pyrrolopyrrole derivative, where the conjugated diene polymer is obtained by polymerizing a conjugated diene compound with a catalyst obtained from (A) a rare earth metal compound, (B) an organic metal compound of an element selected from group 2, group 12, and group 13 in the periodic table, and (C) an ionic compound composed of a non-coordinating anion and cation.
