PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for manufacturing a rare earth sintered magnet capable of reusing a mold without requiring time and effort for inner surface maintenance.
SOLUTION : A method for manufacturing a rare earth sintered magnet performs : a filling step (step S1) of filling a raw material alloy powder P in a cavity 111 of a mold 10; an orientating step (step S2) of orientating the raw material alloy powder P by applying magnetic field in a predetermined direction to the raw material alloy powder P with the raw material alloy powder P filled in the cavity 111; a sintering step (step S3) of sintering the raw material alloy powder P by heating the powder at a predetermined sintering temperature with the orientated raw material alloy powder P filled in the cavity 111; a taking-out step (step S4) of taking out the sintered body obtained by sintering the raw material alloy powder P from the cavity 111; and an acid cleaning step (step S5) of cleaning the mold 10 in which the sintered body was taken out from the cavity 111 with acid not having erosion to a material of the mold 10.
