PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an organic electroluminescent element having a high luminous efficiency, and a large endurance improvement effect by drive aging.SOLUTION : An organic electroluminescent element has a substrate, a pair of electrodes disposed on the substrate, and including a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and at least one organic layer including a luminous layer between the electrodes, where a compound represented by a following formula is contained in any organic layer. (In the formula, X is a coupling group; A-Aare a C-R or N atom, independently; and R represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent group, respectively and independently, and a plurality of existing R are never coupled to form a ring.
