PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth magnet which can suppress reduction of magnetization even when improving coercive force by infiltration of a modifying material, and a manufacturing method of the same.
SOLUTION : A rare earth magnet comprises : a main phase; a grain boundary phase which exists around the main phase; and an intermediate phase which is sandwiched between the main phase and the grain boundary phase. A whole composition thereof is represented by the following formula : ((Ce(1-x)Lax)(1-y)R1y)pT(100-p-q-r)BqM1r.(R21-zM2z)s, wherein R1 and R2 are rare earth elements other than Ce and La, T is one kind or more elements selected from Fe, Ni, and Co, M1 is a minor element having no effect on the magnetic characteristic, and M2 is an alloy element which makes melting point of R21-zM2z lower than melting point of R2. Total concentration of Ce and La in the main phase is higher than that in the intermediate phase, and concentration of R2 in the intermediate phase is higher than that in the main phase.
