PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a compound which is excellent in solubility in low-polarity solvents and has high light fastness, a high absorption coefficient and excellent light-shielding properties in a long wavelength side, and to provide an ink containing the compound.SOLUTION : An ink contains a solvent having a relative dielectric constant at the measuring frequency of 1 kHz and 22°C of 3 or lower and a solubility in water at 25°C of 20 mg/L or smaller and an azo compound of formula (1). In the formula (1), Rand Rare independently H or an arbitrary substituent; Ris an aryl group optionally having a substituent; Rand Rare each independently an alkyl group optionally having a substituent; X is N or a methine group optionally having a substituent; and n is an integer of 1-3. |
