PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth complex polymer showing chiral optical properties and an optical functional material prepared using the same. SOLUTION : Provided is a rare earth complex polymer represented by formula (1) (A is a divalent organic group having a binaphthyl skeleton; L is a β-diketonate group; at least one of A and L is optically active; E and G independently represent O, S, Se or Te ; R1-R4 independently represent a C1-10 alkyl group, a substituted/unsubstituted monovalent aromatic group, a C1-10 alkoxy group or a C1-6 dialkylamino group; R1-R4 may combine with each other to form a ring; m is an integer of 1-4; l is an integer of 1-100000; and Ln is a trivalent rare earth ion).
