PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for producing a planar magnetic member excellent in magnetic properties.
SOLUTION : There is provided a method for producing a planar magnetic member comprising : a preparation step of preparing raw material powder composed of a rare earth element-iron based alloy essentially consisting of a rare earth element(s) and iron; a hydrogenation step of subjecting the raw material powder to hydrogenation treatment at a temperature higher than the disproportionation temperature of the rare earth element-iron based alloy in a hydrogen element-containing atmosphere to obtain hydrogenated powder; a rolling step of performing powder rolling with a rolling roll to the hydrogenated powder to obtain a planar rolled stock having a structure where the {110} face of the iron crystals is oriented at least to either direction of the parallel direction and orthogonal direction to the rolling face; and a dehydrogenation step of subjecting the planar rolled stock to dehydrogenation treatment at a temperature higher than the recoupling temperature of the planar rolled stock in an inert atmosphere or a pressure reduced atmosphere to obtain a planar magnetic member.
