PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of manufacturing a rare earth-iron-nitrogen-based alloy powder for a bonded magnet that is excellent in weather resistance and can be stably used for a long period of time even in an environment where a use environment is severer.
SOLUTION : Provided is the method of manufacturing a rare earth-iron-nitrogen based magnet powder excellent in weather resistance by providing the rare earth-iron-nitrogen based alloy powder with a copper containing phosphate coated film by pulverizing using crushing balls made of copper and crushing balls made of high carbon chromium steel (SUJ-2) a rare earth-iron-nitrogen based alloy powder obtained by subjecting a rare earth oxide raw material to reduction diffusion treatment followed by nitriding treatment in an organic solvent containing phosphoric acid.
