PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a lithium ion secondary battery superior in cycle characteristics over a long period of time.SOLUTION : A lithium ion secondary battery comprises : a positive electrode; a negative electrode; an electrolyte; and inorganic phosphate particles. The positive electrode includes positive electrode active material particles each including a core particle and a carbonaceous coating covering the surface of the core particle, provided that the core particle is made of LixAyMzPO(where 0≤x≤1.1, 0.8≤y≤1.1, 0≤z≤0.2; and "A" is at least one element selected from a group consisting of Fe, Mn, Co and Ni, and "M" is at least one element selected from a group consisting of Mg, Ca, Co, Sr, Ba, Ti, Zn, B, Al, Ga, In, Si, Ge and a rare earth element).SELECTED DRAWING : None |
