The purpose of the present invention is to secure oxidation resistance of electrodes and to inhibit the generation of pre-ignition. An ignition plug comprises a central electrode, and a ground electrode, wherein a gap is formed between the central electrode and the ground electrode. An electrode in at least one between the central electrode and the ground electrode is formed by a nickel alloy comprising nickels as a major component, and 20 mass% or more of chrome. In the electrode, for a part formed by using a nickel alloy, the content of silicon is 0.1 mass% or more, and the total of content of at least one specific atom selected from an atom group comprising rare earth atoms is 0.01 mass% or more, and a rate of a void area of the entire area of a cross section in parallel with the longitudinal direction is 1% or less.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018 |
