The invention relates to a method of coating a part made of ceramic matrix composite material by an environmental barrier, the method comprising at least the following steps : has) applying on the surface of the part a liquid coating composition comprising at least one powder of a first rare earth silicate and at least one sol-gel precursor of a second rare earth silicate, and b) transforming the sol-gel precursor in second rare earth silicate by performing a first heat treatment of the liquid coating composition applied, and c) sintering the powder of the first rare earth silicate with the second rare earth silicate obtained in step b) by performing a second thermal treatment. |
