PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an ignition plug equipped with an electrode excellent in corrosion resistance as well as spark consumption resistance and oxidation resistance when used in an internal combustion engine using an alcohol fuel.
SOLUTION : In an ignition plug, at least one of a center electrode and a ground electrode includes an electrode material containing, by mass%, 0.05-0.5% of rare earth elements in total, 1.1-2.5% of Mn, less than 0.01% of at least one of Al and Cr, and Si within a range satisfying Si/Mn being 0.5 or more and less than 1.1, with balance Ni and inevitable impurities.
