PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a production method of a rare earth-added core fiber preform capable of preventing crystallization the core.SOLUTION : A core preform 2 is inserted into a quartz tube 1, and in the state where the inside of the quartz tube 1 is decompressed, the quartz tube 1 is heated and diameter-reduced, while moving a heat source 9 in the axial direction of the quartz tube 1, to thereby integrate the quartz tube 1 with the core preform 2, and in this case, a portion of the quartz tube 1 where the heat source 9 has passed is cooled by a coolant supplied from cooling means 11.SELECTED DRAWING : Figure 1 |
