PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide photocatalytic glass exhibiting sufficient photocatalytic activity with visible light without using rare metal.
SOLUTION : Photocatalytic glass contains SnOx.SiO2 and is obtained by heat-treating a glass composition. Particularly preferably, in the photocatalytic glass, the SnOx.SiO2 contains SnCl2 as a raw material component; and a method for producing the photocatalytic glass including mixing tetraethyl orthosilicate and salt of divalent tin to obtain SnOx.SiO2 glass by a sol-gel method, and heat-treating the obtained SnOx.SiO2 glass at a predetermined temperature.
