PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of rare earth-transition metal system alloy powder allowing improved squareness.
SOLUTION : In a manufacturing method of rare earth-transition metal system alloy powder, rare earth-transition metal system alloy as a raw material is pulverized to prepare rare earth-transition metal system alloy powder having an average particle diameter of 50 μm or less by a laser diffraction type particle size distribution measurement, and an oxygen content of 0.1-10 mass%. An air flow type classification is applied to the prepared alloy powder, using an inert gas containing oxygen of 5-15 vol.% as a carrier gas.
