PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a dielectric ceramic composition having good characteristics under high electric field intensity, especially, IR characteristics and good high temperature load life.
SOLUTION : A dielectric ceramic composition contains a main component made of a perovskite type compound represented by a composition formula (Ba1-x-ySrxCay)m(Ti1-ZZrZ)O3, a first auxiliary component made of an oxide of a rare earth element and a second auxiliary component as a sintering aid, and contains dielectric particles that are complete solid particles 22 formed of a diffusion phase where a rare earth element is diffused or core shell particles 21 formed from a core 21a having a high rate of the diffusion phase and a shell 21b, and in which average concentration of the rare earth element in the diffusion phase is 5-20 atom% and concentration distribution of the rare earth element in the diffusion phase is uniform.
