PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method for a rare-earth sinter magnet, which can manufacture with a high yield small quantity and various kinds of ultrasmall sinter magnets by preparing a block-shape compact in a desirable size whose magnetic direction is stable.
SOLUTION : In the manufacturing method for a rare-earth sinter magnet, which prepares compacts by applying a transverse magnetic field to raw powder filled into a cavity 7 of a mold constituted of a die 2, an upper punch 3 and a lower punch 4 to press-mold the powder, subsequently by subjecting the compacts to heat processing and then cutting out a plurality of the compacts, and further, by processing the compacts into a predetermined shape, a magnetic body 8 is arranged inside the upper punch 3 and the lower punch 4, and an orientation of the transverse magnetic field in an end part of the cavity 7 is kept parallel to an orientation of the transverse magnetic field in a center part in the height direction of the cavity 7, in the press molding.
