PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide boride particles that are highly transparent to light in the visible region and excellent in heat ray shielding properties.
SOLUTION : The boride particles are represented by the general formula X1-yAyBm, where X includes one or more metal elements selected from alkaline earth metal elements, zirconium (Zr) and rare earth elements including yttrium (Y); A includes one or more metal elements selected from In, Ga and Tl; and y and m satisfy 0.0001≤y≤0.2 and 5.2≤m≤6.5.
