The present invention relates to an infrared (IR) LED package including a rare earth metal oxide particle and, more specifically, to an IR LED package having an infrared wavelength of 700 to 940 nm by including an LED package including an oxide represented by the following chemical formula 1 in an IR LED chip and a polymer resin. The chemical formula 1 is M_a(OH)_b(CO_3)_cO_d, wherein M is Sc, Y, La, Al, Lu, Ga, Zn, V, Zr, Ca, Sr, Ba, Sn, Mn, Bi or Ac, a is 1 or 2, b is 0 to 2, c is 0 to 3, and d is 0 to 3, and b, c, and d are not simultaneously 0, and b and c are simultaneously 0 or not simultaneously 0.
