PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an ink or the like capable of reducing curl amount of plain papers just after printing, excellent in image quality and high speed printing response to the plain papers, good in discharge stability and excellent in dryness on general-purpose printing papers.
SOLUTION : There is provided an ink containing at least water, a water soluble organic solvent and a coloring agent, and one or more kind of polyalcohol having equilibrium moisture amount at temperature of 23°C and humidity of 80%RH of 30 mass% or more, at least one kind of amide compound represented by the following general formula (I) and one or more kind of alkyl alkane diol having alkane diol having 3 to 5 carbon atoms as a main chain and alkyl having 1 to 2 carbon atoms as a branched chain as the water soluble organic solvent. In the general formula (I), R1 and R2 represent a methyl group and R3 represents an alkyl group having 4 to 6 carbon atoms.
