The present invention provides an inducible filtering pigment flake and a preparation method thereof. The filtering pigment flake is composed of an interference type filtering pigment flake substrate and a magnetic shell formed by a magnetic thin film layer uniformly coated on the outer surface of the interference type filtering pigment flake substrate, wherein the magnetic thin film layer is coated on the outer surface of the interference type filtering pigment flake substrate by a sol-gel method, and the magnetic thin film layer is made of a ferrite permanent magnet material or a composite rare earth permanent magnet material. The magnetic shell in the present invention realizes the function of inducibility of the filtering pigment flake, enabling the angle of appearance of the filtering pigment flake in a printing ink paint or an injection molded member to be controllable. Random combinations of multiple appearances of two functions enable the production of diversified special optical effects, which are hard to imitate and have better anti-counterfeiting performance in comparison to the prior art. |
