PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide : a gallate complex oxide with an A-site deficient perovskite structure that has high chemical stability at elevated temperatures and high oxygen ion conductivity; and a solid oxide fuel cell using the same.SOLUTION : The gallate complex oxide comprises an A-site deficient perovskite structure represented by the general formula (1) defined by AAGaMgO, where Ais at least one element selected from the group consisting of rare-earth elements; and Ais at least one selected from the group consisting of Ba, Sr and Ca.
