PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide : a curable composition that is excellent in solvent solubility while retaining a high refractive index; and an optical component and a compound that use the curable composition.SOLUTION : A curable composition contains a compound represented by the general formula (1) in the figure, and at least one selected from thermal radical polymerization initiators and optical radical polymerization initiators. In the formula (1), Arrepresents an arylene group or heteroarylene group; X represents an oxygen atom or sulfur atom; Rto Reach independently represent a substituent, provided that one or more of Rto Rare groups represented by -L-A, where L is a linking group and A is a polymerizable group; Rand R, Rand R, Rand R, if a is 2 or more, Rand R, if b is 2 or more, Rand R, or, if c is 2 or more, Rand Rmay be linked to each other to form a ring; and a to c each independently represent an integer equal to or greater than 0. |
