PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a powder filling device and a method of manufacturing a rare earth sintered magnet using the powder filling device, which can further efficiently manufacture a small and thin sintered magnet piece.
SOLUTION : A powder filling device 200 has a feeder box 60; a supporting frame 70; a moving frame 80; a guide rod 72 fixed on the supporting frame and extending in a first direction; and a drive device 90 which linearly reciprocates the moving frame along the guide rod. The feeder box has an upper side opening portion 62, a lower side opening portion 64 smaller than the upper side opening portion, and a side wall from the upper side opening portion to the lower side opening portion, and is supported so as to move along the guide rod. The moving frame has two acting rods 84a and 84b disposed oppositely to each other across the feeder box. When the moving frame is reciprocated, the two acting rods alternately strike on the feeder box to reciprocate the feeder box.
