PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery, in which an electrode active material and a conductive material are increased in dispersibility and adhesion; and a method for manufacturing such an electrode material.
SOLUTION : An electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery according to the present invention comprises an electrode active material represented by the general formula LiFexMn1-x-yMyPO4 (where M is at least one element selected from Mg, Ca, Co, Sr, Ba, Ti, Zn, B, Al, Ga, In, Si, Ge and a rare earth element, 0.05≤x≤1.0 and 0≤y≤0.14) with its surface covered with a carbonaceous coating. The electrode material is 35-50° in angle of repose.
