Disclosed is a composite R-Fe-B series rare earth sintered magnet containing Pr and W. The rare earth sintered magnet contains an R2Fe14B main phase, wherein R is a rare earth element at least comprising Pr and characterized in that the raw material composition thereof comprises at least 2 wt% of Pr and 0.0005 wt%-0.03 wt% of W. The rare earth sintered magnet is prepared by means of the following steps : a procedure of preparing a melt liquid of the raw material components as a quenched alloy; a procedure of crushing the quenched alloy into a fine powder; a procedure of obtaining a formed article from the fine powder using a magnetic field forming method; and a procedure of sintering the formed article. For the rare earth sintered magnet, the heat resistance and thermal demagnetizing property of the Pr magnet are improved by adding a trace amount of W. |
