PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an additive for cement which is excellent in concrete shrinkage reducing effect and which causes neither increase nor decrease in the amount of air in concrete, resulting in easy management of the amount of the air.SOLUTION : An additive (E) for cement contains a compound (a) represented by the following general formula (1) and at least one compound (b) selected from the group consisting of a compound (b1) represented by the following general formula (2), a compound (b2) represented by the following general formula (3), and a compound (b3) represented by the following general formula (4) : R[O(AO)nR]m (1), RN[(AO)nH]2 (2), RRN(AO)nH (3), RRRN (4). [In the formulae, Ris a residue obtained by eliminating the hydroxyl groups from a mono- to hexavalent aliphatic alcohol; Ris a hydrogen atom or a 1-6C alkyl group; nis 1-100; m is 1-6; Rto Rare an alkyl group or an alkenyl group; AO to AO are an oxyalkylene group; and nand nare 0-10]. |
