Provided are a novel organic ligand and a novel macromolecular complex that uses the organic ligand and that contains a rare earth ion and a transition metal ion. Also provided are a production method for the macromolecular complex, a production intermediate for the macromolecular complex, and a use for the macromolecular complex. The present invention relates to a macromolecular complex that contains a compound indicated by general formula (1) and a repeating unit indicated by general formula (2), or to a macromolecular complex that contains the repeating unit indicated by general formula (2) and that also contains a repeating unit indicated by general formula (5), or to a macromolecular complex that contains the repeating unit indicated by general formula (5). The present invention also relates to a production method and a use. (1) X1-L1-Ar (2) -(Ar-L1-X1-M1(LG)m-X1-L1-Ar-M2-)n (5) -((Ar-L1-X1)p-M1(LG)m-X1-L1-Ar-M2-)q Ar indicates an aromatic heterohydrocarbon group, L1 indicates a linker, X1 indicates a phosphine-oxide-containing group, M1 indicates a rare earth ion, M2 indicates a transition metal ion, and LG indicates a multivalent ligand. |
