简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an oxygen absorption/emission material having improved exhaust gas purification performance at low temperatures as an exhaust gas purification catalyst. SOLUTION : An oxygen absorption/emission material including a ceria/zirconia-based composite oxide phase and at least one kind of rare earth oxide phase, the rare earth oxide phase having a structure directly bonded to a ceria/zirconia-based composite oxide phase, a content of the rare earth oxide phase being exceeding 0 and 0.3 or less as a molar ratio of rare earth oxide phase/(rare earth oxide phase + ceria/zirconia-based composite oxide phase). Further, a molar ratio of cerium and zirconium in the ceria/zirconia-based composite oxide phase is 0.33 or more and 0.66 or less by cerium/(cerium + zirconium), Y3+ ion or La3+ ion having an ionic radius larger than Ce4+ ion and Zr4+ ion is contained.
