PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a bond magnet which has mechanical strength and furthermore whose demagnetization power factor is prevented from degrading caused by moisture absorption.
SOLUTION : A method of producing a surface treated rare earth-based magnetic powder comprises a step of preparing rare earth-based magnetic powder and a step of surface treating the rare earth-based magnetic powder by using a first coupling agent represented by general formula; X-Si-(OR)n (X : an alkyl group having a polar group in a terminal, R : alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms and n=1 to 3), and a second coupling agent represented by general formula; X-M-(OR)n ( X is an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group or an aryl group having 6 carbon atoms, M : one kind of Si, Al, TI, Zr, R : alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon and n=1 to 3).
