PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an oxide solid solution-oxide mixed material for use in an exhaust emission control catalyst and having improved oxygen absorption/release performance in terms of speed.
SOLUTION : The present invention relates to the oxide solid solution-oxide mixed material which is for use in an exhaust emission control catalyst and comprises : an oxide solid solution comprising cerium, zirconium and titanium; and at least one kind of oxide selected from a group consisting of aluminum oxide and rare earth oxide. A ratio of the number of atoms of titanium (NTi) to the sum of the number of atoms of cerium (NCe) and the number of atoms of zirconium (NZr) in the oxide solid solution-oxide mixed material, {NTi/(NCe+NZr)} is in the range of 0.11 to 0.36.
