The present invention relates to flake graphite cast iron with high strength and excellent machinability, and a flake graphite casting. According to one aspect of the present invention, the present invention comprises : 3.2-3.4 wt% of carbon (C); 2.0-2.2 wt% of silicon (Si); 1.8-4.0 wt% of manganese (Mn); 0.08-0.14 wt% of sulfur (S); 0.04 wt% or less (not less than 0 wt%) of phosphorus (P); 0.1-0.3 wt% of a total sum of at least one rare earth element (R.E.); and a remainder consisting of iron. A ratio (Mn/S) of manganese (Mn) content to sulfur (S) content is in a range of 12.0-50.0, and a ratio (Mn/R.E.) of the manganese (Mn) content to a total sum of the rare earth element (R.E.) content is in a range of 6.0-40.0.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017 |
