PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of manufacturing a multilayer ceramic capacitor having high reliability.
SOLUTION : The method of manufacturing a multilayer ceramic capacitor includes first to fifth steps. In the first step, a perovskite type compound containing Ba and Ti and having an amount a of Ba vacancies of 1.2×1015/g≤a≤4.5×1015/g and, a dielectric ceramic raw material obtained by mixing an Re compound (Re is at least one kind selected from Y, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er and Yb), an Mn compound, an Mg compound, and a Si compound are obtained. In the second step, a green sheet containing a dielectric ceramic raw material is obtained. In the third step, an internal electrode pattern is formed on the green sheet. In the fourth step, the green sheet including a green sheet having the internal electrode pattern formed thereon is laminated to obtain a capacitor body before firing. In the fifth step, the capacitor body before firing is fired to obtain a capacitor body.
